6. We are still in a drought. |
|
It is so dry here that...
trees are whistling for dogs.
the catfish are wearing flea collars.
birds are having to build nest out of barbed wire.
the ducks don't know how to swim.
the dogs are marking their territory with chalk lines.
the water tower was held up at gunpoint.
the cows are giving powdered milk

4. You know what they say about broken clocks, |

but it would have been better if it were not as stiff and scripted. I think SNL or Corbert could have done it better.

Probably because I loathe the fake news shows and the way they paint gun owners as ineloquent knuckle dragging buffons. Whatever trips your trigger, I guess. :)

I'll bet you don't visit the Guns forum very often!
Regulars will not be even slightly surprised.
And "comedy" indeed, eh?
I think "polemic" might fit.
An American, a Canadian, and an Australian were sitting in a seedy bar enjoying a few beers. The American grabbed his beer, knocked it back in one gulp, then he threw the glass into the air and shot it with his handgun. As he set the handgun on the bar, he told the Canadian and the Australian that in the great U.S. of A, they had so much money they never drank out of the same glass twice.
Next the Australian drank his beer, threw the glass into the air and shot the glass with the American's gun. As he was setting the gun back on the bar he proclaimed that in Australia they had so much sand that glass was cheap and he too never drank out of the same glass twice.
Next the Canadian drank his beer, grabbed the gun off the bar, and shot the American. As he was setting the gun back on the bar, he told the Australian that in Canada we have so many Americans you never have to drink with the same one twice.

12. Here in SW Texas we are 24"+ under our average. |

I have been busy building bridges over the cracks in my pasture, keep having to pull livestock out of them with a winch truck.
Do you know what this is.........crunch........crunch.......crunch?
Texas farmers walking through theit crops. Not a joke.
We have had to cancel several BPCR matches due to the dry grass.

15. our neighbor just cut my field for the second time this year. |
|
I think he's responding to what is soon to be a demand for hay. I only have 3 acres, but it's connected to 60 of his. He's cutting all his fields a second time....it's the only thing he does he doesn't raise cattle but sells hay for a living.
