Sure he got positive results this time but it could have just as easily ended up badly.

but my decision to use my weapon would depend on the situation. If I felt the robber only wanted the money and did not intend to hurt me I would simply give it to him.
I will not second guess the clerk's decision as I was not in his shoes. However, he needs to get some training.
