Is "Bush deliberately let 9/11 happen" an anti-Bush statement? |
|
Many Republicans think that God would normally have intervened to prevent 9/11 from happening, but that God deliberately stood back and allowed 9/11 to happen. For example, maybe God was practicing tough love and wanted to punish America for some sins.
Now, if we were to take a role normally reserved for God and substitute George W. Bush, how could we be guilty of anti-Bush bias? If anything, we would be expressing bias in favor of Bush.
Of course, there's no doubt that if most people start believing that Bush deliberately let 9/11 happen, then Bush will suffer in the opinion polls. However, this would be just one more feather in Bush's cap. For a politician, popularity is like life itself. Bush would then be making the ultimate sacrifice, allowing his own popularity to be crucified to pay for America's sins.

1. I have serious doubts that |
|
Bush was even in the loop. There were about a dozen ways a dummy like Bush could reveal the coming attack prematurely.
Yes, the idea that Bush deliberately let 9/11 happen is an anti-Bush sentiment. What is wrong with anti-Bush sentiments? The asshole deserves every anti sentiment he gets and then some. The neo-cons destroyed this country. I have serious doubts that we will ever recover. So I am all in favor of holding those responsible to account.

2. It's possible it's merely a truthful statement. |
|
I became a DUer after 9/11 because I wanted facts and information. If there had been more facts and information on Free Republic I would've become a freeper.
The same with being a 9/11 skeptic. I became one by following the facts, bias didn't come into it.

3. This isn't a Dem/Rep Issue |
|
And it never has been. Anyone who tries to misguide the debate down that alley does not have a true grasp of history or has an ulterior motive. The right-left paradigm is a divide and conquer technique for all major political issues. Hence, we see the Country heading in the same misguided direction for the past 50-75 years despite different parties holding office.
Saying Bush had knowledge, let it happen, or helped it happen is not Bush Bashing. Because those who truly understand history and the background of 9/11 understand that Clinton was just as culpable.
I, for one, voted for Clinton, Gore, Kerry and for Obama. However, I have come to realize through intellectually independent historical research, they are all a part of the game. Doesn't matter who the puppet was in "Office" at the time, what matters is a puppet master exists and is still calling the shots.

4. Of course it's an anti Bush statement |
|
Unless of course you think 9/11 is a good thing and then it is a pro Bush statement.
Your substituting Bush for God is irrelevant unless you are trying to have a discussion with a nut job which would render your discussion meaningless.

5. Bush wasn't in the loop, he was a puppet for Cheney, just like Reagan was for Poppy |

This was a Cheney/PNAC plan, pure and simple...
