I would imagine by "famous", you would mean people who are celebrities for reasons other than embracing fringe political ideas.
That's like asking:
"What famous people support the Roman Catholic Church?" and coming up with "The Pope."

4. What has fame got to with it? |
|
What has fame got to with it? Instead of famous, how about engineers, honest architects, electrical engineers, demolition experts, aeronautical engineers and so forth.
THEY have the knowledge and background to investigate whatever it is you want to know about. How many steel framed buildings has Charlie Sheen designed?
I sure wish Minoru Yamasaki was still alive although I'd bet he would lie in bed night after night wondering if there was something they could have done differently.
Every time I see Leslie Robertson give an interview (one of the engineers on the buildings), he looks devastated. On one show I watched, they made it look like his current office is right over ground zero. I don't know if it really is there or the TV crew just wanted to get a reaction but seeing a building he had a hand in designing destroyed must feel like a sucker punch to the stomach every day.
Famous, Ha, Manson is famous, what does he think?

20. Maybe it's not their celebrity but rather their perceived courage |
|
The average person knows it's unwise for them to make waves...at work or in their social life -- EVEN and especially about things as controversial as possible government involvement in operations that result in immediate loss of lives, and in the case of 9/11, operations that result in the President sending young people off to engage in wars of aggression.
Because of the above, many Americans admire people who speak up and speak out. Celebrities are seen as being more likely to "get away" with speaking out without risking the high costs others would if THEY were to speak out.
MSM is simply catering to their audience whenever they produce a story about how Joe or Mary Celebrity thinks Bush's version of what happened on 9/11 is doubtful or worse.

It takes no courage to spout the (official) conspiracy theory and may well be a sign of either an uninformed speaker, someone unable or unwilling to question conventional wisdom - even from a liar like Bush/Cheney?Powell, a partisan hack, or simply someone who lets others do their thinking and they simply defer because they're too insecure to not go with the flow.

Registering people to vote in the south during the 1960's is courage. Standing in front of a tank in Tinemann Square, that's courage. Taking to the street's of Tehran to protest an oppresive theocracy, that's courage. In all three cases your life could be on the line.
Running your mouth about some idiotic conspiracy theory knowing that you could stop working tommorow and live off the royalties from the various shows and movies you have been in is not courage. It just shows what a d bag you are.

24. You've underestimated their greed & mischaracterized... |
|
the topic in question.
What you call "some idiotic conspiracy theory" is what many people would say is the OCT. People who spout off about what MSM told them happened on 9/11 do NOT have to be concerned about their career future. Someone whose career depends on public acceptance and support is unusual if they are willing to publicly disagree with the OCT. People like you might refuse to ever see another one of their movies or buy one of their CDs.
BTW - Can you name even one TV personality who has questioned ANY conventional political wisdom (9/11 OCT, Bush wars, Patriot Act etc.)?

But has he ever even approached 9/11 in a questioning manner? Not sure.

27. There are still many talented people whose careers were... |

ruined when they were blacklisted during the McCarthy era. I used to live in Toluca Lake, CA where a lot of older actors and screenwriters live and some of them paid a very high price for being dissenters. Guess who ratted a lot of 'em out? Ronald Reagan - who was a secret FBI informer and is hated to this day by some people because of what he did to so many good people who had the temerity to dissent.
You mentioned Olberman, but even he won't question the 9/11 OCT, and Jesse Ventura has only begun speaking out about 9/11 years AFTER he left public office...but so far, he's only put his little toe in the water! He's no dummy.

To compare celeberties expressing their opinion on 9-11 with those who have put thier lives on the line for what they though was right? Because that's what it sounds like to me? If this is the case then all I have to say is hogwash. Has Charlie Sheen been negativley affected by his opinions? No he has not. And lets say his show were cancelled tommorow becasue of his views, guess what. He will still live a very comfortable life in Malibu living off the royalties. Must suck to be him.

49. Your "revolution" is already dead, kid |
|
You are the propagandized sheeple, brainlessly swallowing the lies of the "truth movement" because you are unable to deal with reality on a rational level. Your little Clue Club got stuck in the mud years ago by making outrageous claims but having jackshit for reason. Now you're just piling new delusions on top of old ones, including delusions about why most people consider the "truth movement" to be a bunch of crackpots and idiots. There are more people who believe in alien abductions than there are "truthers," because as pathetic as the evidence is for alien abductions, it's actually a stronger case for a more plausible hypothesis than anything you controlled demolition freaks can put together.
> Your desperation is showing and your fear is palpable.
No, Sparky, it's disgust and revulsion. I admit I do worry sometimes that the poor guy talking to himself on the corner might turn violent as I walk by, but it's never stopped me from keeping on walking.

... but in fact a lot of people who are neither crackpots or idiots have been suckered in by people who are. People who lack critical thinking skills -- or who have some reason for not applying them in certain cases -- are easy marks for the kind of propaganda that David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage crank out. It still comes down to WHY they believe what they do, and allow me to point out again that there is no critical mass of True Believers who can turn bullshit into truth.
Sorry, but I suggest that you are the one who should take your nonsense elsewhere. There are any number of boards around the web that serve as conspiracy bullshit swap meets and paranoid support groups, and I promise I won't follow you to any of them.

Personally, as a veteran with an Expeditionary Medal, I'd like to say that I wouldn't piss in his mouth if his teeth were on fire.
MTV got him elected to the governorship. They MIGHT have been able to keep him there IF he wasn't a bald-faced LIAR.

|
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 09:38 AM by procopia
In his 9/11 speech, Bush said America was attacked by terrorists because of its freedom. How did he know so quickly it wasn't a domestic attack? After all, the OKC Murrah bombing was a domestic attack just few years earlier.
He also said, "We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them," giving them free rein to attack any country they arbitrarily chose to.

"Bush said America was attacked by terrorists because of its freedom." (justifying the hacking of our nation's Bill of Rights by scaring Congress into passing the so-called Anti-Terrorism Act)
"We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them," (justifying the right of US to arbitrarily launch opportunistic attacks/wars on any country on the globe)
In that speech, I believe that Bush was being more honest than he is generally thought to be.

the star of the hit tv series Rescue Me. I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet. he's done several episodes of the show where his character, a NY firefighter, slams the official version of 9/11. and its not just a one time deal. his questioning of the official story is an on-going theme of the show that is dealt with in a serious, compelling manner in several episodes. he's probably the most famous 9/11 truther after Charlie Sheen and a great speaker for the truth movement.

And you would never hear Sunjata refer to himself as "the" star of Rescue Me. A star, maybe, or one of the cast, more likely. But Denis Leary is "the" star.
If you're not here to debate television trivia, why are you bringing up television stars to support your silly theories at all? Another example of a fortuitous promotion by someone seeking to make their position sound as reputable as possible. Just get your facts straight, and you won't have to fudge the resumes of the people who agree with you to sound good.

You claimed credit for an appearance in what logically must be only an imaginary production that you made up. I googled it, but nothing came up, and since you didn't find it convenient to say whether it was a movie or TV show, and given there's no record of any such a title, I can only conclude what I posted.
N.B. - I googled the name of the production you stated, not "bolo boffin".

To not show due deference to a well-established, long historical record is to risk being convicted of expressing annoyance if you suggest, in any way, that they may possibly be overstepping, making a mountain out of a molehill, or simply incorrect in their assumptions. To show some sign that you are concerned with anything other than showing them their due deference is risky. That's how I interpret your post. Now that I know, I certainly understand and agree. I won't PUT him on ignore, but I won't respond to any more of his bullshit posts either.

Why do you have such trouble with writing clearly? Could that have anything to do with you being a "truther"? Could it be that the inability to express thoughts clearly is but one of many reasons the "truth movement" is going nowhere fast?

merely posting a quote from me, then saying you don't believe "it", doesn't tell me specifically what you don't believe. I already pointed out 4 different things you could be referring to. Can you honestly not see that? Part of "reasoning" is making your point clearly. Have you ever studied communications? Or, is being imprecise just another rhetorical tool "truthers" use to prolong the "debate"? I suspect you get asked for clarification quite a bit.

"his questioning of the official story is an on-going theme of the show that is dealt with in a serious, compelling manner in several episodes."
The character is ridiculed by the other firemen for his wild eyed proclamations. His rants are comic relief, at best.
The star of "Rescue Me" belittles the 'Truth Movement'. The snake oil salesmen and the unfortunate gullible who follow them blindly. I'm personally of the opinion that Sunjata is playing the Truthers for all he's worth.

what does Sunjata get out of doing that? he's making millions as a star (or one of the stars of a hit series. oops didn't mean to break the golden rule of television etiquette. that would be a cardinal sin.) why would he risk his career and risk getting blacklisted, barred from getting future roles in the industry for speaking out on such a controversial subject? that's a nonsensical argument. he does it because he isn't afraid to stand up for his beliefs.

Either the topic on "Rescue Me" is 'dealt with in a serious, compelling manner' or 'they can't refute any of his arguments'. Which is it? You are aware that the show is scripted, don't you? The vision and plot lines are Leary's - not Sunjata's. If there was any merit to the rants, would the evil NWO (who control all media) let it be aired?
Sunjata's not doing badly, though outside the show he does not seem to have much of an acting career. He 'came out' as a truther right before last year's season began, and has not been publicly vocal (except in truther circles) since they aired. Smells like a publicity stunt to me.
But hey - if a second string actor on a television show is what convinces - more power to you.
I wonder what Katie Segal thinks ...

Sunjata has been very vocal as an activist in 9/11 truth, outside of his show. he has done numerous interviews about his real-life views of 9/11, spoken at public truth rallies in New York with 9/11 family members, etc. He also narrated the 3rd edition of Loose Change. How more vocal can you be? Sunjata was so vocal and outspoken about it, that he eventually convinced his producers to integrate his views about 9/11 into the show and come up with a storyline based on his real-life views. not an easy feat to pull off of course, but it helps to be as charismatic and forceful of a speaker as he is.

Sunjata has not been publicly vocal (outside truther circles) since the episodes aired. Sure he spoke to a few dozen of the like minded, and did the voice over to the least popular of the ongoing Loose Change series (so maybe another dozen people heard him)- but where is his real conviction? The last public voicing of his came in May, 2009. Coincidentally, that's when the subplot on "Rescue Me" was being aired. I note you ignored the first part of my question; if this was any kind of threat, why would the evil NWO (who control all media) let it be aired?
Leary thought Sunjata's rants were funny enough to include them in the script for his character - but no one takes it seriously. Sunjata's character (Franco) basically uses his inane rant to attempt to seduce a female journalist.
Publicity for "Rescue Me" - that's the full Monty.
