After 9/11, the Bush team lied extensively about the government failures to a) imagine and b) prevent the attacks. Further, they quickly squandered the good will that the world felt towards us as victims of this horrible event.
By contrast, Obama promptly bellied up and announced within hours that the government and intelligence agencies simply blew it with the latest attempted aircraft bombing. I expect some heads will roll and corrective action will be taken.
The man is a class act.

2. While all politicians have an innate desire to deflect criticism and protect their legacy, I find |
|
Obama to be refreshingly open compared to his predecessor.
He's not a saint to me, but I find myself admiring him more often than not.
