Look at a video of WTC 1 & 2 prior to the collapse. Can you explain the buckling and the inward bowing of the columns?

for 1: the heat probably had an impact on the buckling effect, it also could be that the core below the impact zone was damaged quite heavily. How the damage to the core,lobby, and basement occurred is controversial.

Steel is an excellent material to transfer energy. Consider what happens if you hold a 20 foot long steel pipe tightly in your hands and I hit the far end away from you with a 16 pound sledge hammer, how does it feel? It will rattle your teeth.

So when a commercial airliner hits the steel core at around 500 miles per hour or around 700 feet per second, it's going to be felt all the way to the foundations in bedrock and do some damage along the way. One reason why the impacts were sensed by seismographs.

So please illuminate why this is controversial. Your personal incredulity does not count.

What do you think the impact could be on the outer walls when the inner core (responsible for over half of the buildings strength) is heavily damaged?

All of his exists were in the core. How come all FDNY members in the north tower were all ordered to the lobby before either tower collapsed? Were they having difficulties with access in the core?

The problem, again, is that the buckling and inboward bowing of columns is evidence that NIST was correct and stupid "controlled demolition" theories are bown out of the water.
