Go to hell Biden-You're now a DINO or at the least a cheap corporate whore |

Which other democrat backed this bankruptcy bill?
Let's make it clear that these politicians won't recieve our vote for anything, whether its senate reelection or higher office, let alone a penny.
I rarely get so riled up about legislation (there's been so much to do so, I've kinda been tired of it), but this is one of the most heartless, disgusting pieces of corporate welfare I've seen.
As I mentioned in another thread, my dad had to declare bankruptcy because of a business that failed. He paid every single penny back (with lots of interest of course). The republicans always claim to support small businesses and entreupeneurship, but in the end it only matters if your a multibillion dollar multinational that can give millions to worthless politicians.
My dad's situation isn't nearly as bad as the thousands that were forced into it for health problems. Thankfully, my family has health insurance and even when times were tough my dad found a way to have it, but in so many cases it's so unaffordable...
This along with the SS privatization ponzy scheme laid out should make it crystal clear that this administration wants the middle class destroyed.

It's not like his whoring for Bush during the Iraq war wasn't enough...
I think he knows his chances at higher office are gone - then again they were shot a while back considering the fact that he's a shallow plagerizing pretty boy that never could get enough time in front of a camera.
BTW I don't watch TV News anymore. Has he tried jutifying his support for this bill anywhere?

His name's on a recent PNAC document. If you cooperate with them, you're guilty of treason, and there is simply no two ways about it.

This bill was unjustified.
Byrd may have been right on the war, but there's plenty he's been wrong about in his career.
If you are unable to tell that a piece of legislation is this rotten, then you are either nothing but a corporate whore or just plain fuckin stupid.
*Note I am not meaning you but politicians in general.

|
...LIVES in Delaware? That where most of the Credit card companies are, and those ARE Biden's base. :eyes:
Biden voting against this bill, would be like a West Texas Congress Person voting against a Tax break for the Big Oil companies. It ain't gonna happen!

And it's why, if Daschle were in the senate, he woulda been front and center in support of it as well.
I understand that politicals will whore for their state's corporate interests and industries but this bill was so heartless. The fact that he voted against protections for those with medical problems show that Biden is coporate whore first, and cares about people second.

13. Biden's probably killed his presidential chances |
|
We can take solace in that. But I can forgive his vote a lot easier than I can the vote of some senators who rely a lot less on the support of credit card companies for their campaign dollars. What the hell was Mary Landrieu thinking? And Mark Pryor.
Senators outside of Delaware can definitely afford to piss off credit card companies.

What all those fence posts in Washington forget, is that the American people are their base. There are many more votes from the populace than there are from the fat cats.
Any time they pull a shenanigan like this we have to remember it and spread the word to remind people what they did when it's time to give them the boot.
edited for bad grammar.

that I think with that one vote, Biden has pretty much sealed his fate regarding any presidential hopes he had. He's no better than any paid-off republican, and Carper isn't too far behind. Let's see, drag the corporate payoffs up and the plagiarism (which wasn't really a big thing for me), I think he's toast.
I will vote for him for Senate however in 2008 unless another Dem shows promise. I'd rather have a DINO than a RINO since it's not based on their beliefs or actions, just on the bottom line - like so many other things in politics.

I'd still like to have Dem numbers high enough to not have a filibuster proof puke majority.
Too bad, these are the choices we get though.

22. Filibuster? Repukes are working to fix that. |
|
They want to stop the practice. They are working NOW to change the Senate rules. Of course they are counting on being in the majority from now until forever so they won't need to use it themselves.

if they give in on some of the most important votes?
And BTW, Biden isn't the worst in this situation. His whoring makes sense. It's just that Biden's is such an obvious exAMPLE OF corporate whoring.
Don't accuse me of being part of the "purity or nothing crowd". It's obvious you haven't seen my earlier posts, where I likely would have used the same dismissive tone you do.
But certain votes just disgust me too much. Maybe you haven't seen how terrible this bill is.

Do you guys WANT to create a filibuster-proof Republican majority? You all talk about 'winning back the Senate,' but at the same time rant and ramble about how you'll do everything you can to defeat every Democrat who votes against your opinion on one or two bills.
