12. Reagan had our CIA train bin laden as a "freedom fighter" |
|
which turned out to be blowback for all of us. Everytime I pass Ground Zero, I think about that. Not to mention Reagan and Iran-Contra, ignoring the AID crisis and so much more. He sucked...."BIG TIME"

Sound familiar? "Grenada" the bait and switch war. Repubs always whinning about 18 dying in Somalia on Clinton's watch, after Bush1, put us there, but over 200 dead marines in Beirut on Reagan's watch?? You never hear a word from them about it.

45. William769 yes, Bush took a page right from Reagan's book |
|
Supporting the troops...by giving them nothing to defend themselves with. Ironic isn't it? Reagan trains bin laden, Repubs cry "Wag the dog" when Clinton goes after him, Bush ignores Richard Clarke and all other warnings regarding bin laden. 9/11 from Reagan right to Bush. I hate them both. 9/11 also happens on the watch of 3 republicans, bush, Rudy & George Pataki.

I thought the Iran-Contra hearings should have led to impeachment, I figured he was either drugged or utterly stupid, and remembered that it was Jane Wyman's cash, stolen from a joint account, that allowed him his comfortable life, his politics, and his second marriage.
Did I mention I thought he was corrupt? An oversight, I assure you.

Never liked him.
Even before his ascendency to the presidency he was down some of the biggest racist and anti communist dickheads of the right wing. He's one of the reasons why we don't have universal healthcare.
He was one of the worst presidents we ever had and as Bush I was about to lose to Clinton, the country was finally coming around to it.
Lately the dickheads on the right have been propping this asshole up as a hero. Only those that have their noses stuck to their television screens watching MSNBC, CNN etc fall for this bullshit.
Have they ever really checked?
Ask the African American community at larrge how they really felt about that asshole. The war on drugs was a war on minorities and the poor.
Ask the gay community in regards to the AIDS crisis.

Shouldn't wish you happiness, wish her the very best Fifty thousand dollar dress Shaking hands with your highness See through you like cellophane You watch the world complain, but you do it anyway Who am I, am I to say

If there's one thing that makes me sick It's when someone tries to hide behind politics I wish that time could go by fast Somehow they manage to make it last

president we ever had.
For those who do not recall Beruit and the Marine Corps barracks...it was the seminal event that started the "terror" fiasco between us and the Middle East. When reagan, big talker about being so tough, skedaddled, he set the stage for more attacks. The taliban and others saw it as an act of cowardice and a lack of resolve. Reagan ran out on Beruit...and al-qaeda and the taliban came on w/force.
