Fellow DUers (especially Obama cultists), I would like to share a story with you |
|
There once was a turtle and a hare. One day they decided to have a race. The hare begins the race with a nap, as the turtle gains a HUGE lead. However, near the end of the race, the hare wakes up and runs very very fast, but the turtle still ends up winning by 13%. The hare claims that he won, because he "cut the lead."
Why is the hare gloating? lol.

Obamanites can get pretty obnoxious and overwhelmingly loud, spammy, and enthusiastic.
However, I think it's pretty cool that people can get so excited over someone after such a lengthy drought of pisspoor candidates and leadership on the part of the Dems.
However again, I want Obama and Clinton to stick it out neck and neck to the end so that the influence of Edwards will be felt and impressed.
I want poor people, disenfranchised people, people targeted for hate and discrimination.. to have a voice and clear and honest representation. Nothing else will serve.

There's one dominant trend throughout this entire campaign for the past year. The more people get to know Obama the better he does against Hillary and the Republicans. It was true in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and all the early states. That tells you right there who the most electable candidate is. Clinton plateaued a year ago.

8. Actually, the turtle married the zoo keeper, who picked it up and put it next to the finish line |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 12:41 AM by Azathoth
It then walked a couple of steps, rolled over and died. The hare, meanwhile, had to begin at the starting line miles away. By the time it reached the finish line, it had gained both strength and stamina.

17. And if one side wouldn't claim that it's only the other side that's doing such things |
|
"I never see supporters of MY candidate doing such nasty things. Typical supporters of (blank)."
It's both sides.
You can't be both the attacker and the victim. It doesn't work that way. It's oddly passive aggressive.

This is where the hyprocrisy is exposed. They don't see the craziness coming from their own side. Every side has to bear responsibility.

12. You forgot the part... |
|
...where the turtle starts the race at the halfway point because the turtle's husband won the race a few years ago.
Oh, and turtles swim. Tortoises are the ones on land.
Nice story, though. Could use a few wizards or a fairy godmother, if you're planning a sequel.

And when the race is REALLY done, if the turtle wins it, I'll bet on her in the next race. Till then, I like the hare. He's fuzzy.

Even if that means making peace with filth like you. Until then, I'm happy to keep things in perspective, even if your little brain can't handle it.
