9. No. It's a caucus. Anyone who thought she'd win Maine is an idiot. |

13. I don't know enough about Maine geo-politics to say if that will hold, but |
|
if it does hold that would be quite a decisive victory.
If it holds, it's farely crushing numbers for Obama.

The absentee go in with the present caucus attendees when the delegate numbers are reported, especially for the smaller municipalities.

19. No, now Obama needs to finish the sweep by taking VA, MD and DC |
|
Then maybe the Obama-bashers will be unable to deny that he is NOW the front-runner and ease up on their trashing. Please?
It seems to me that after Tues there is going to be some SERIOUS thinking about the SDs and giving a CLEAR dominator of the primary season the nomination. The alternative is only much contention.

25. this result would be surprising |
|
I would be surprised about this vote and I think that it *would* be a sure sign that things were swinging in Obama's favor.
Maine is less the "LL Bean" inspired blonde-families-dining-at-the-sea-shore and more of an old, decaying lumber, farming and mill type of region. Lots of lower middle class families who are struggling to make ends meet on a very real level. And from what i understand, have been supporting Hillary in overwhelming numbers in recent primaries.
But one thing I suppose we cannot do in this election is count our chickens before they have hatched, eh? Something tells me that the people of Virginia and Maryland really won't give two cents about what the Mainiacs think, and will vote how they want to.

28. Depends on Portland and Lewiston, neither of which I've heard about yet. |
|
I think Portland might skew Obama, but I have no idea about Lewiston. These are major population centers in the state, though some other quite large places have also filtered in, mostly for Obama.
