The following, is a "Letter To The Editor" I just sent off to the N.Y. Times, and contains my thoughts on the matter:
Editor N.Y. Times New York, NY
04/03/04
Dear Editor:
With the headlines trumpeting last month's job growth, and how beneficial this is for Bush and the Republicans in the upcoming election battle, I think some have lost sight of some very important points.
Lest some forget, in the euphoria induced by the Administration's speculative economic numbers, perhaps the biggest reason many no longer support President Bush, is the fact he, and his administration, misled the country over the Iraq war. Added to that, is Bush's continued stonewalling and dissembling on issues ranging from 9/11, to the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame. These issues have not, and did not, go away, despite the supposedly rosy economic forecasts.
Americans still face a big choice in November, and one that will not, and should not, be predicated on always mutating economic predictions. That choice, is to give their votes to someone who has been proven to have misled this nation into an unjust and costly war, and who continues to prevaricate, despite mountains of irrefutable evidence, or, to vote for someone else, in hopes that honesty and integrity can be returned to our government, ... before it's too late. For me personally, the recession could be fully over tomorrow, with unemployment at zero percent, and Mr. Bush would still not be deserving of my vote, and never will be.
Sincerely, XXXXX XXXXXXXXX
