It's Already May 4th, When Will The McCain/Clinton Summer Gas Tax Holiday Go Into Effect? |
|
Edited on Sun May-04-08 04:40 PM by malik flavors
Has this legislation been introduced to the house and senate yet? If so, how far along is it? If they want to get it passed and signed in time for the summer, shouldn't it already be on its way?
I'm ready to start saving the 18 cents a day that I've been promised by senators McCain and Clinton this summer. I figure if I hold onto these savings, and watch how i'm spending my money, by August I should have enough saved for a six pack of Fresca. Mmmm, Fresca in the late summer sun. I can't wait!
So yea, summer's just about here. When will President Bush be signing this, and when will it take effect? McCain and Clinton would surely look foolish if they were still promoting a summer gas tax holiday in June, so they better hop to it if they don't want to be seen as typical politicians offering empty promises. Not to mention how disappointed and letdown I'd feel if I didn't get my gas tax holiday that I've been promised and am so looking forward to.
Does anybody know when I can expect to recieve this tax break???
I think this could be the best summer ever!

2. Surely you jest. How can a summer tax break not go into effect until Novemeber? |
|
I believe in senators Cliton and McCain, and I believe they would never lie to me. They'll get it passed sometime next week i bet.
I so want my Fresca.

about how WONDERFUL it will be.
And just think of how special the Fresca will taste, once it's a fraction of the price of HillCain gasoline.

9. Stunning really, that this bit of common sense doesn't reach the "base" or the supporters who |
|
are heralding the "silliest thing ever proposed".

save $10.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is your vote that easily bought? Maybe some people's vote really is that easy to buy.
I'l spend mine on something elitist, like Brie and Chablis. Really cheap brie and chablis. Maybe a box of chablis.
