You think CNN likes Hillary? You think they are impartial?
Look at their homepage right now... www.cnn.com
Hillary TAKES Indiana Obama SWEEPS NC
Could there be a more blatant preference indicated here?
Oh...and the pics are priceless...
Obama...beaming, genuine smile Hillary...smirk
NICE JOB CNN!

1. Well, she did win by 2% to his 14%. That is a difference between a take and a sweep |

17. to be honest...just a simple |

Hillary wins in IN and Barrack wins in NC would suffice...the use of these adjectives, while providing for a more interesting read, yield insight into the mind of the writer that would indicate preference...

19. But "win" and "win" would imply the two wins were equal. |
|
And since this is not a winner take all system, they are not.

20. i can see that...i just take issue with the words that were chosen |
|
sweep implies something that it was not...rout would have even been better in my mind even though it has a more powerful sound to it...it would be more accurate...

I don't think CNN is out to get Senator Clinton. Yesterday was a better day for Obama than Clinton. The difference in the choice of verbs reflects that. I understand your feeling of loss, I'm an Edwards supporter, and when my guy left the race, I had to pick one, just as many Clinton supporters now have to pick between McCain and Obama, a choice which should be automatic for anyone not of the Joe Lieberman persuasion.
It's time for unity.

Honestly, given the margins I think those are pretty accurate descriptors. It's not like both of the contests were won equally, and it's not like Hillary's 2pt win isn't practically a loss. As for the pictures, I think the one of Hillary is quite flattering- she looks serene:)
Now if they had said something like "It's all over for Hillary!" or some such thing, then I might see a bit of bias, but that's not what they are saying.... even if it is what everyone is thinking.
Given the reality of what happened last night I think they are giving her a fairly easy morning...

13. A very accurate headline. What do you want them to do? LIE? |
|
He swept NC by 14 points. Hillary supporters were calling PA a blowout. He won NC by 5 more pts than she won PA. She barely squeaked it out in IN. CNN could have written "Clinton ekes out a win in IN".
Your post is dead wrong.

He blew her out of NC and she barely held on in IN. What CNN says represents that situation. The reactions to the two situations? Hillary had to have victories ~~ and large ones ~~ in both states. She did not get that even maybe. Of course she was not grinning. He smashed her in NC. So, of course, he was very happy. I really don't see what the particular problem is here.
