Sure, but in this political season |
|
Why should Hillary be held to a lesser standard than, say, Michelle Obama and Barack Obama. Both of these individuals have made statements that have been run - ad nauseum - without much context. And, I do believe that Ms. Clinton actually joined in on the gang pile on some of those, didn't she? And, they have been literally raked over the coals of the media and public opinion.
I say - game on.

27. I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt here |
|
I have seen politicians destroyed by a poorly worded comment and I don't like to do that to anyone. But I looked at the quote again and she specifically used the word assassinate...she did not say "Robert Kennedy did not wrap up the nomination until June". At the very least, it was highly insensitive. I've gone canvassing in black neighborhoods and met older black women who say they pray for his safety...I've met people who are afraid to vote for him because they are afraid he'll get assassinated. I am not going to accuse her of having a malicious motive, but at the very least, her comments were highly insensitive.

But I'm not running for President.
With me, it's usually some social faux pas like the time I mentioned to a co-worker who was wearing a somewhat low-cut top that her cat had shed some fur on her and she pointed out that it was actually her own chest hair. Really.
