Ingrates! After watching Wolfson and McAuliffe on tv today and reading Hillary's addendum |
|
Edited on Sun May-25-08 02:03 PM by hisownpetard
to her non-apology, there is nothing left to say except that they are all, in my eyes, nothing but ingrates.
Obama has taken the high road every time, being a gentlemen in every sense of the word.
There is not another person in politics today who would have put up with her 'shame-on-you' finger wagging, her outright mocking, her derision of his "hope"-based campaign, her twisting the facts, her "as far as I know" moments, her Rev. Wright comments and everything else she's pulled, without sinking to that level and fighting back.
And now the assassination comments.
For Obama and David Axelrod to both be magnanimous enough to say they take her (and her explanation) at her word is above and beyond what's required, especially since HRC's camp had the incredible gall to say that Obama's campaign helped fan the flames.
I, however, do not have to hold myself to that standard and therefore can come right out and say it: Hillary & Co. are INGRATES of the highest order.
That's it. That's all.

8. Basically, they blamed the Obama camp and the media for making a mountain out of a molehill. |
|
Edited on Sun May-25-08 02:01 PM by hisownpetard
They said that Obama didn't come out soon enough with a statement absolving her of any bad intentions (as if that were his job) and said that by taking his time, he allowed the flames to be fanned.
(Can you believe that one?! It makes me gnash my teeth so hard I'm getting TMJ!)
They said that Hillary was only referring to RFK in the historical context.
And that there was no need for her to apologize to Obama at all since she said nothing wrong.
In other words, just what you would expect them to say.

16. What a bunch of insincere assholes... |
|
...did you see the clip from Meet the Press where they were talking about how disingenious Hillary was in her arguments about how long primaries are?
Maybe McAuliffe and Wolfson will catch the repeat.

Her and her "army" are a bunch of losers. I guess when its "4th and 99" they feel its ok to hope for an assassination to win. It would be like me saying something like "well we (the raiders) can make the playoffs if Denver doesnt show up for the game which is possible because planes crash, right?" Personally as much as Id like to make the playoffs, Id rather beat Denver Straight up than appear to need a plane crash to get in. I guess Hillary doesnt get that.

10. That is just untrue. Fanning the flames would be them saying things like, "I can't believe |
|
Hillary is implying that Obama might get assassinated."
They downplayed the whole thing from the start.

The Obama campaign said that the statement was unfortunate, and when she apologized, David Axelrod went on Hardball and didn't fall in Matthews trap and said that they were taking Hillary at her word with what she meant. And on Saturday, Obama said that it just a misspeak that was caused from the stress of being on the campaign trail. HARSH.

Wolfson and McAuliffe think it shows weakness. After all, when Obama was accused of being an "elist" and making "bitter" comments, they were right there waiting for their turn to kick him...

39. Odd how Bill liked caucus states |
|
Or how Hillary ignored them.
Or how Mark Penn never bothered to learn how they worked.
Or that caucuses have been round for longer than you have.
I agree caucuses are not as representative as party vote(NOT popular vote - that comes in the GE) but no one has complained about them since Mondale and no serious attempt has been made to reform them. Live with it; Hillary ran an abysmal campaign, showed that she was not fit to be president and LOST
Or do you think all rules and mathematics should be ignored to serve the annointment of Hillary as the once and future President. Why not arrange a military coup and install her in the job?

19. Ok, my damn neck is sore from nodding 'yes' to your points, but |
|
on top of that you know your way around sentences.
A pleasure to read.
Hillary Clinton was ill-served by the very people you name, which prompts me to wonder why she didn't can their asses after Iowa? Obama and Edwards both placed ahead of her in Iowa, and she only edged out a win in New Hampshire. Then in South Carolina the wheels just came off. Pissing off Jim Clyborne is not the best possible political strategy out there.
Another question worth asking is whether a court hearing should be docketed to force Lanny Davis into involuntarily comittment to a long-term care facility.
