Serious Question: At what point does Hillary become as much as an enemy as McCain??? |
|
This is a 100% serious question.
There becomes a point, if Hillary takes this to the convention, that she becomes as big of a hinderence to the White House for Obama as McCain is. Maybe more!
At what point does Hillary become 100% the enemy and we need to attack her like we do McCain?
She is constantly trying to undermine Obama already. If she takes this to the convention and demands a vote and also campaigns for the nomination for the next 3 months then do we start to treat her as a hostile party?
She can talk all the unity she wants, but I have seen NONE in her actions.
I think there has to be a point where the DU becomes a place where only OBAMA supporters, or Hillary supporters who will vote for Obama, are allowed here.
And if the supers give it to Obama next week then any promoting of Hillary to the convention should be dealt with like McCain supporters here. She will be hurting the democratic party too much to be allowed to continue.
I am ready to hear arguments against what I am saying.

6. I don't support Sen. Clinton, and believe she should drop out Wednesday at latest. |

However, she would not be "an enemy" to the Democratic party until after the convention. She can "refuse to drop out," but that's a meaningless statement once Obama hits 2026 (or whatever the RBC decides is the grand total). She'll just be a silly sideshow until the convention.

At that point, she is no longer a Democrat. Until then, McCain is the bigger enemy. She is just a candidate who has stayed in the race a bit too long.

8. Really, Hillary has the right to go all the way to the Democratic convention |
|
...and debate the issues so delegates can make an informed selection as to which candidate will serve the people of the United States best. Listen, there are still many issues that need to be addressed. You have the economy going totally south with tens of millions of homeowners currently and potentially about to be foreclosed on and no protection at all.
The economy, the war, special interest groups, lobby money influence....still lots of integrity issues and only when the delegates have the debates from the democratic convention floor will we come together as a party and kick the "rethuglicans" out and send McCain/Bush packing. So let the process unfold and if Obama supporters haven't the patience and can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! :yoiks:

They have. An extra round of preening for the cameras won't make them change their minds.

13. What is it with you and cicadas? And is it the 13 or 17 year variety you're referencing? |

16. Thanks, I was just curious because my sister is an Entomologist or whatever you call it, and |
|
she does research on cicadas as part of her job. It's kind of an obscure topic (or maybe I just haven't been paying attention), and I was curious as to the reference because I don't see cicadas discussed all that often except at Christmas, Fourth of July, and family reunions.
