Freepers praying and fasting 24/7 for Palin to win debate
I shit you not. They are imploding all over themselves and I am enjoying every single second of it.

To: refermech
ABSOLUTELY!! The truth is getting out by means of blinders falling off. PRAYER IS WORKING!! I thank Christ for his faithfulness and all those who have signed up for the 24/7 prayer list! PLEASE if you haven't signed up go to the prayer list thread and pick a prayer time slot!! PRAYER WORKS and FASTING! If health permits, we are asking prayer partners to fast Thursday for God's wisdom to favor Palin for the VP debate. THANK YOU JESUS!

No matter how bad, heinous, or counter to the actual words of their religion.

18. Yeah, those people prayed for rain to ruin...
...Obama's outdoor speech.

Turns out, the skies were clear and beautiful, and the temperature was perfect, with just a slight, breeze--which
kept comfortable 80,000 excited and elated Americans who listened to Obama's remarkable speech.

If it had rained, these religious nutjobs would have celebrated that God destroyed Obama's event.

We need to ask these people, since the weather was heaven-sent--if God was helping Obama's event. Using
their logic, this is the only conclusion that can be drawn.

8. There is a religious practice of fasting until one hallucinates
And they can hallucinate their Palin victory. Then they can hallucinate that Obama does not win next month, and then hallucinate that they are living in a small town in America in the 19th century. Heck, I could use some of that nirvana.

Somebody needs to forward that link to Richard Dawkins ASAP. He'll have a field day with this when Smokin' Joe leaves Caribou Barbie in the tears of a humiliating defeat. But knowing that god guy, he'll cause a random power outage wherever the Hell the Freeptard Server is located.

10. Yeah, right...
I'm sure God is hoping that Palin will win this debate. :eyes:

God loves warmongers. He loves liars, sociopaths and people who use their governor's office
to launch personal vendettas against despised relatives. God also likes people who torture
other human beings. God also enjoys lies. And when mothers abandon their special-needs
infants, to saunter around the country spreading propaganda and hate.

If there is any justice or decency in the universe--Sarah Palin will be chewed up, rejected,
spit out and catapulted back to Alaska where she can't further implement the black, soul-crushing
policies that BushCo and the neocons have unleashed on our poor nation.

From their spew:
Our goal is to have 1,000 people fasting for the President each day. That will greatly encourage him and keep him accountable when the Evil One seeks to sidetrack him from his commitment to the Lord.

From me: No wonder so much bad shit is happening to him they can't pull the thousand wackos a day anymore

From their "homepage":
There are
255
people fasting today!
Total Fasters: 1888

Fricking nutcases, the mental health association should use webpages like this and the membership lists to note the people that are in desperate need of medication and intervention.

26. What puzzles
me the most about right wing evangelicals, is that they pray for candidates who don't care about the poor. How did these people interpret "What you do to the least of my brethren, you do unto me?" I can imagine the prayer would go like this: Oh dear Lord, please make Candidate X win. He will shun those terrible poor people. Amen.

Insane.

Remember all those nice depictions of him with helpless animals? The freepers think that their personal Jesus is going to intervene in this race so that they can delude themselves into thinking it's better for them financially.

It's ALWAYS about the $$$$$$ with republicans. They can pretend to be socially conservative, but it's the $$$$$ Always the $$$.

49. Mock if you will, but I've been praying for both Obama and Biden re: the debates
Because I know the Rethugs are underhanded, hypocritical, nasty liars who will say ANYTHING and make up ANY KIND OF CRAP to win the debates, I've been praying that Obama and Biden will bring a good, calm frame of mind and the brilliance they're capable of to all the rest of the debates. I pray for them to be well-rested, healthy and as mentally sharp as possible. No harm in that.

I won't be fasting, however. Weight Watchers dictates that I get a certain number of Points(tm) in each day.

51. Oh, I talk a good game, but when I get really nervous (as I have been about these debates) ...
... I pray for God's intervention, too. I pray for McCain to keel over and for Palin's hairdo to explode. I pray for God to turn them into stuttering messes.

I pray for God to smite them as their typical Republican BULLSHIT leaks out of their lying, hypocritical mouths.

But that never works, so I realize it's better just to pray that our side brings its best game.
