I just heard a segment on NPR regarding the effect of race on the current election. A current politician indicated that he feels race has always been an issue in the election as it is in America but that he feels that barack has overcome this issue as America is overcoming the issue. He pointed to the use of possible codes words to bring up anti black sentiment such as the word "Risky."
For the sake of balance, they brought in some conservative douche who , of course felt that was bizarre. Heres the part that got me thinking. He claimed that labeling use of that kind of language as racist was, in effect, and attempt to silence debate which he feels is toxic for America.
So heres my question: IF he feels that this sort of labeling is an attempt to shame people into not speaking up, thus, effectively silencing debate, inst he also trying to silence debate by labeling it as toxic and bizarre?
Does this make sense to anyone else?

3. Here's the (so-called) logic: Obama's playing the race card by being of African heritage. |
