Check out the different attitudes between Bush and Obama right after their elections: |
|
Obama was asked by a reporter today: ”What sort of mandate do you have, do you believe?"
Obama: ”We had a decisive win...and so I don't think there is any question we have a mandate to move the country in a new direction...But I won 53% of the vote, that means 46, 47% of the country voted for John McCain...It's important, as I said on election night, that we enter into the new admin. with a sense of humility and a recognition that wisdom is not the monopoly of any one party..."
Bush after his squeaker "win": ”I earned capital in this election and I intend to SPEND it."
How refreshing!

I can't WAIT 'til he officially takes office. (He's already the guy people are looking to anyway.)

15. Bush stole the 2004 election and he knew it |
|
Let's never forget that he never won a presidential election legitimately. I want the history books to put an asterisk next to his name, questioning his legitimacy.

And may it go down in history along with the McCarthy Era as an American history aberration.

3. His "political capital" comment was one of the most cringe-worthy ... |
|
What a bloviating, pompous, entitled asshole! Even if you leave out the fact that Ohio was STOLEN, he only "won" by a nose, yet he acted like it was a landslide ...
"I earned capital in this election -- political capital -- and now I intend to spend it, as is my style ... " Still makes my hair stand up on edge. Fucking RatBastard can't be gone fast enough for my taste.

Great cartoon. I love the song, too. Both the original and the words YOU put to it. :)

7. Bush knew he had pulled it off |
|
He KNEW that if he got the presidency without challenge, he was home free. I think he was expecting more of a fight.
Gore could have stopped him.

9. Gore could have stopped him, he also had a traitor in his midst Joe Lieberman. |
|
Strange how that traitor has managed to stick around.

11. In all fairness, Lieberman didn't betray Gore |
|
But he WAS strangely silent.
Maybe THAT said something.
