The people trying to convince me this bill is good and Dennis Kucinich is a bad guy... |
|
are the same people that try to convince me that the President's opposition to gay civil rights is some sort of masterful chess move.
Go piss down someone else's back. The list of approved political figures is quickly dwindling to one.

15. Frankly, this is a dreadful bill. It is going to raise premiums dramatically. |
|
Well intentioned, but without a stronger public option and stronger enforcement measures it simply gives insurance companies more money for their investors. THose with pre-existing conditions and rescission candidates will be covered but have to pay whooping premiums. In other words insurance compnaies will financially pressure them to drop off the rolls rather than mandating it.

That he had done to further any progressive cause at all besides press releases as to why he won't support yet another bill and sided with Republicans. Please tell me what Dennis has done for gay rights that I haven't heard. I am puzzled by the outrage at criticism of a guy who has done nothing besides talk purity but does nothing to further any cause important to them unlike Obama who gets crapped on for everything.

52. Dennis is one of the few elected Democrats who fully supports |
|
equal rights of all kinds for all people. Obama opposes equal marriage rights for GLBT people, Dennis supports them. This is one of the reasons Dennis has earned much support from many people when he takes a stand that pisses off the DLC crowd. They are not friendly to gay people and our rights at all. They stand against us, and DK stands with and for us.

I used to like Kucinich, but it is quite apparent that he is an asshat. He can't get shit passed. He can't run a decent campaign. And yes, he's an ugly little dork. He brings to the Democratic Party about as much as a worm-filled dog turd in a salad.
File Kucinich in the same folder as the other asshat, John Edwards.

He is against equality and favors a two tired, double standard injustice. He is most certainly against equality, and for you to claim otherwise is simply to go too far. He is opposed to equality for minorities his religion tells him are not as good as his own kind. You need to deal with it. He is against Gay Civil Rights, period. Spin all you want. He opposes equality. You want to get into quotes from his McClurkin affair? Really? Wanna hear all over again what Donnie said and Obama called 'good and decent'? I'd rather not, but I will if you try to fling that bullshit around again. Obama is against equality for GLBT people, openly, specifically and everybody but you know that. But you do too.

Icons of the progressive movement with even more credentials than Dennis Kucinich but their voting record does not, like DK's frequently vote with Michelle Bachman
By repeating your statement you obviously didn't get the point. Icons of the progressive party have found a way to make their point and still maintain caucus discipline.
If you want to talk about progressive Senators who not only make their point and actually get legislation passed
Kucinich cannot hold a candle to these Senators
