Alabama DU gathering

Just thought I'd make sure everyone had checked out this thread, started by one of our newer Alabama DU'ers, liberaltrucker.

I know we are probably smaller in number than DU'ers from some other states, but there are a lot more of us than have responded to the suggestion that we try to get together and meet each other.

I've never been in a chat room, and DU is the only place I've ever posted in a discussion forum. I never thought I'd actually want to meet anyone in person that I first "met" on the internet, but my perspective has really changed after almost a year here. I would very much like to meet many of you (I'd name names, but am afraid I'd leave someone out that I really have enjoyed getting to know in these forums).

Please check out this thread and reply (even if you are not interested in a gathering, it would be helpful to guage how much interest there is in putting this together)!
