Please - if you went to see F 9/11 this weekend in Montgomery |
|
I'd like to know what you observed.
I was there for the 8:00 pm show Friday night - I'm guessing this was as "prime time" as it gets for a movie on opening weekend. I have seen an online report that differs greatly from what I observed, both in and out of the theater, and am wondering if I missed something.
This has nothing to do with my opinion of the movie - which I loved - I just want to check with someone else who might have seen it over the weekend to see how they felt the crowd was (again, inside and outside the theater).

I did post in the thread on audience size/response in GD when I got home from opening night.
I didn't see anything really weird opening night. I was thrilled with the sell-out (or nearly so) at the main evening showing on opening night in Montgomery. The crowd was incredibly diverse in age, race and nationality. A good chunk of the audience had driven many miles and crossed county lines to see the movie.
It was great to be a part of this in our state capitol on opening night. I am just concerned about something I've just seen on another "friendly" website. The "report" there from Montgomery on opening weekend of F 9/11 does not resemble my experience Friday night. I don't want to say more at this point. I just fear that someone may be filing a false report so that later on, claims can be made that this site featured false (or at least unsubstantiated) positive reports from the field.
