Alabama forum has the biggest vibrancy to red ratio I think!

Mississippi only has 479 posts. And Tennessee has fewer posts than us even though they have a larger population. Florida has more posts, but they have a MUCH bigger population. Utah has only 304 posts.

I'm not putting anyone down.

What I'm saying is that we have a great group of Alabama DU'ers here! Let's make some noise and change our state for the better!

I want you all to know that you have made my life richer. I would name some names, but I'm afraid I might leave one or two out, and I don't want to risk that.

I think we have about 40 regular or semi-regular active posters. Let's keep kicking it!

I lived there 35 years ago...

I loved those fireflies! Wish someone would import them to Washington! They sell ladybugs at the garden stores.

Well, actually I don't mind the proper ladybugs. But the Chinese beetles look just like the ladybugs, but are much nastier!

3. The way to make noise is with LTTE, one issue/letter of 150 words.

Don't put off the task and don't be upset if most are not published. Even if the publication rate is low, you'll be surprised at how much sharper your debates will become if you collect a few key facts to support your position.

The key for LTTE is write, write, write!

I think most of the newspapers actually print most of the letters that they receive. If for no other reason than they don't really get that many.

The numbers fluctuate regularly, but we are consistently among the most active state forums here. And I think that when you compare our numbers (Alabama DUers) to those from the states with forums more active than ours, we are almost certainly in the top five state forums in terms of participation per capita here!

I am incredibly proud of this forum and of the great people who post here. Our visibility makes a difference, friends, on DU, and in our local communities across Alabama. We know what we are up against, and I am honored to fight the good fight right along with each of you!
