DNC Watch Party Thursday in Huntsville, Madison County Dem HQ

The Madison County Democratic Party is hosting a Democratic Convention Watch Party this upcoming Thursday, July 29th starting at 7:00 p.m. This party will celebrate the John Kerry and John Edwards nomination in Boston, Massachusetts. The location of the new Democratic Headquarters is in the Heart of Huntsville Mall at 721 Clinton Avenue located off North Memorial Parkway between Parnell’s Furniture and Gold’s Gym. Refreshments will be served and this event is free and open to the public.

Madison County Democratic Party Chair, Doug Dermody, is very excited about the upcoming season. “This is a great time to be a Democrat. We are seeing a surge of membership in all local Democratic Groups. We have been fielding calls for weeks requesting information on our Headquarters and the National Democratic Ticket. Local voters, especially swing voters, are very excited about the Democratic Ticket. We expect a very active campaign season and a large turnout for Thursday evening’s event.”

The agenda for Thursday is scheduled as follows: Conference call with John Kerry at 7:00 p.m. and the nomination & acceptance speech is expected to begin around 8:30-9:00 p.m. CST. In between, area Democrats will watch the convention and socialize. Members of the Madison County Young Democrats, Madison County Democratic Women and the Huntsville for Kerry group are planning to attend in addition to the Madison County Democratic Executive Committee.
