Dem Presence At Alabama/South Carolina Football Game? |
|
This message is basically aimed at Nocturnes but if anyone else has thoughts, by all means post them. Is there any chance of having a solid Dem presence at Saturday's UA/USC football game. I get so sick of seeing all the Bush/Cheney garbage at Tide football games. I am willing to help if you think it is possible. I know there is a chance of hit and miss showers, but by 5:00 (game time) I am sure the weather will be cooperating. But, this post is not about 'Bama football. It is about electing John Kerry to the White House.
Is it possible Nocturnes? Again, I would be willing to help out if there is still time to think something up. Thanks, BamaLefty.

Local Dems handing out fans which have the Kerry logo on the front and a comparison of Kerry and ****ing **** on the back. They have also been handing those out at high school games.
Are you going to be around? College Dems will also be there helping out with this effort. I am NOT a football fan (I am a cricket fan but almost nobody here has ever even heard of the game) so will probably not be there myself - football crowds drive me crazy

That sounds great! Yes, I will be there. But keep in mind that I am not in college, I am a junior in high school. But if I can be of any help just let me know, I'd be glad to help out.
Cricket? C'mon man, you gotta love tailgating at 'Bama games. How 'bout a big Roll Tide Roll!

Hey remember I am from a Rugby and Cricket nation (most of which is accompanied by lotsa drinking and yelling).
If you think you can help out, we will be looking for people both there and at High School games right up until the election.
Give us a call down at HQ (I am there 9-11 Mondays, Fridays and Tuesdays) and we can sort something out.
The number is (205) 391-9665

Now, I will say that there is only 2 more home games left before the election. Where is the T-Town HQ? Near downtown or UA by any chance? I might drop down there tommorow to see if I can help out.

I know where that is. Say, didn't that used to be the Repub HQ back in 2002. I remember knocking down some signs around there. It is right in front of the Jack Warner Pkwy sign and there is a Steak-Out around there somewhere. Yes, I always make me a visit to the GOP HQ... I get sheer joy out of destroying their garbage. :)
* I will try to get over there and help if I can. Roll Tide!

I came to the HQ and picked up some yard signs and pins. A lady was working there with brown hair and was very helpful, so tell her thanks will 'ya? The Dems HQ had 4-5 people inside of it picking up stuff, while the GOP's next door was empty. Not a soul to be found around it. Anyway, thanks for the directions and your hard work. It is people like you that will win elections for us for many years to come.
