I voted this a.m. Checked my ballot and noticed that where I had voted for Amendment One (Amendments on one side of ballot, Candidates on the other)had bled through the "front" to make a perfect straight Repug ticket vote. I took my ballot to one of the poll ladies and she said the bleed through would spoil the ballot. I asked for another ballot, did not vote for Amendment one at all. Also, when I signed in to get a ballot the poll worker told me to "mark the ballot lightly", which I was sure to do the second time 'round. I did not explore to see if other "bleed throughs" were possible. This seems a very easy way to spoil a lot of ballots. The markers given to mark the ballot were like "magic markers" and bled through what felt like a heavy grade of paper very easily.
There was very heavy turnout in what at that time was a tropical storm like rain. They were pulling cars out of a pecan orchard where some had parked and were stuck because of the rain.
This is a heavy repug county and I believe these ballots were designed to help their "cause". Anyone else from this area?
On edit: Reported to Democratic HQ in Baldwin County.

1. Maybe you should report it |

because it might register in the machine as a repug vote. If so, a recount by hand could be in order.

3. I vote in Miflin (near Foley) at the community center. |

I did not vote for any of the amendments. The optical scanner accepted my ballot so I guess it took. Where do you vote?
