1. I'd give it time -- first priority may have been to GTFO the area |
|
but yes, hope remains for Syrinx and please check in with the AL DU crew when you get a chance....

My heart aches for Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, two of my favourite cities I've ever lived in.

Just got power back a little while ago.
What a terrible situation. Personally, I'm unharmed, thankfully.
Thanks everyone, for caring. :)

We are in Alpine Hills off Skyland and have a house full as we have power. Thankfully the weather has been sunny, but not too warm for those who still lack power.

I'm thankful for the relatively cool weather.
I'm curious, did you know Slim Swindell? I think he used to live in that neighborhood. He was friends with my dad. They're both dead now, so I think it's safe to talk about. :)

6. My god, were you in the area????? |
|
I was holding my breath for most of the day, have friends who have kids in collage in Tuscaloosa. Poor Momma friend was down here going out of her mind. Fortunately they work in Northport, are ok. One is the manager of a restaurant there, don't know which one, her Mom reports since they still have power, they are being run off their feet providing food for the rescue workers, and have taken in people from the college who lost off campus housing.
Glad you are ok.
:hi:

8. Watched James Spann .... |
|
from the ABC station in Birmingham describe where this monster was heading and looked at one time it would head right for us... we are blessed it turned. Watched it from my back yard and the noise from this lumbering monster, one could tell it was destroying everything in it's path.
