"Should the Legislature provide funding for faith-based organizations?"
http://www.ktuu.com/The question is a result of the State giving Changepoint Church $1.5 million for their soccer dome..
I tend to agree with some of the comments that address how unfair this is to the other local facility..

Steve Agni, part owner of the Cellular One Sports Center, heard about the dome money only Wednesday. He objects to the state giving money to a nonprofit that will compete directly with Cellular One.
Agni whipped out protest letters Thursday to the governor and legislators, saying, "At a time when we are purging influence peddling and special interest from government, how does this one pass the straight-face test?"
Mike O'Connor of Ouzinkie Native Corp., another Cellular One partner, made a similar protest on Wednesday. O'Connor's letter said: "We believe it is outrageous for the state ... to provide public financing for a facility that will compete with a privately financed facility."
http://www.adn.com/front/story/8894811p-8794863c.html I don't have anything against soccer.. my kid plays in the summer.. but I don't agree with the State bailing this church out. If they can afford to own that MASSIVE compound, they should have enough money for their damn dome problems..
