This Key Wester wants to visit your state.
How far is Sitka from Anchorage?
Give me tips. I am thinking about coming up soon.
I reckon I am starting in Anchorage, because I can fly in there.
Thinking about a train ride down the Kenai Peninsula.

but Sitka is a long ways from Anchorage -- a really long ways -- and the only way to get there from here is to fly or ferry, after a l-o-n-g drive. Anchorage is probably a good place to fly into, though, because you can get places from here. Are you planning on renting a car?

3. The train from Anchorage to Seward would be a beautiful trip. |

I've never done it, but have always wanted to take it from Seward to Fairbanks. Right now between Denali and Fairbanks it is shut down because of flooding.
The Kenai Peninsula has tons of stuff to do. We picked up company in Anchorage last Friday and drove them down. Our first stop was Alyeska where we rode the tram up the mountain and had a great lunch. Seward is breathtaking. We've taken guest on the half or full day boat excursions around Resurrection Bay. Sea Life Center is very enjoyable, also.
Cooper Landing is also very beautiful.
This is only the beginning. If you get down here to the Peninsula, I will PM you my number. Hopefully, we could get together.
Off has a new cornstarch bug spray that is so much better than the original. You'll need it!
