She was interviewing them when she found out that her producers had been arrested. She left the convention to go to where they were arrested, and was arrested on the street for asking to speak to the supervising officer.

She was interviewing the Alaska delegation when the chain of events that resulted in her arrest began.

Ironically this last weekend I picked up Season 1 of "Jericho" at a garage sale. The Goodman incident plays like a scene right out of an end of the world dystopia.
