Matt Claman is working hard for Anchorage. After six months of balanced leading as the first Acting Mayor of Anchorage, he has brought his unique understanding of city government back to the Assembly. It's great that he's running for re-election. Anchorage voters will be very smart to keep him in office.

I've known Matt for many years and I'm excited he is running for Assembly again. We need his voice in Anchorage politics. He's smart and also really good guy. In fact, I'm pretty sure I saw him out supporting skiers this past weekend at the Ski for Women;-)

Seriously, I agree with you 100%, and I think he's taken a lot of unfair criticism. I, for one, will certainly be voting for him (he is my assemblyman presently).
I, too, have had personal experience with him, and he was great. As a private lawyer, he handled a little unpleasantness for my daughter her senior year in high school with an excellent outcome. I will always be grateful to him for that.
