1. I'm really starting to believe |
|
That crap the Bush campaign started whispering in 1999 or early 2000 about McCain being mentally incompetent from the torture he endured.
Maybe he really does beleive he can save the GOP from the lunatic fringe. But I doubt it. Any normal person would hate these people, after the sliming, and character assasination they engaged in.

2. Sadly, there's still a lot of respect--more so than respect Bush. |
|
He is more of a Goldwater conservative than neocon, so he's got lots of respect for that.
Our senate candidate didn't get the support from the infrastructure he should have, but we're hoping McCain gets a dose of reality this election.

I'm not surprised. McCain may play up the maverick thing, but when push comes to shove, McCain always falls in line.

4. Stu Starkey for AZ Senator |
|
I am fed up with McCain allowing Shrub to run wild and supporting him as his AZ Campaign Chair. McCain has lost my respect because of how two faced he is being, criticizing Shrub's horrific policies, for instance his "torture the prisoners" policy, and then still campaigning for the little weasel. McCain only looks out for his own political career, not us. I voted for democrat Stu Starkey for AZ senator, and I hope you will too.

Even if he can't win, I hope he puts a scare into McCain.

7. I think part of the reason AZ is more red is because of McCain |
|
having the best known "moderate" in the republican party support the freaks like Kyl and Bush draws more moderate voters to them.
I voted for Starky. Alot of people I talked to (democratic and independent) support McCain pretty much because of his national reputation.

Bush rode McCain's coat tails here in AZ - without McCain AZ might have gone blue. Bastard. Sell out.

John McCain a heck of a lot more than I have EVER supported *.
Although I have SOME respect for McCain, I still don't like him.
I voted for Starky! I got to meet him and I told him I'm studying to become a teacher and he said to me "you're my hero" and gave me a pat on the back and a smile. What a nice guy! :)

McCain once enjoyed general respect but now I and many others feel he is a real whore for the way he campaigned for Shrub even while he seemed to realize what an ass and a tyrant and a war criminal and war profiteer Shrub is, even understanding this McCain still headed up Shrub's AZ campaign. McCain = Owned Partisan Whore

13. I hate * , but I respect John McCain. He's old-school Repub. |
|
A big plus for me is that he voted with the Democrats to keep Big Oil out of the Arctic Nat'l Monument. I don't understand why he supports * . Maybe so he won't be completely shunned in the Senate.
