Channel 3 Evening Broadcast |
|
Seems channel 3 was the only news channel to cover this. These pictures are great. We really need to organize here in Arizona. This showing has been recieved in such a positive light to the public.
The Channel 3 broadcast in the evening, (god I hate the theme music they play..."Good Evening Arizonaaaaahhhh" Argh), really highlighted the anti-war protest. There were two, I recall, mentions of those on the other side of the line, one was of a woman who was screaming at a mother among peace signs. And the second was of an Asian couple who just showed up to see the President drive by .....
It was wonderful...we looked civil and organized presenting another view point.
If you haven't hooked up with a local group now is the time...

2. Channels 3 and 5 covered it. |
|
In the past I haven't been that crazy about News Channel 3 because they love the "If it bleeds it leads" stories, but I think they did a nice job covering the El Mirage event - and they mentioned that most of the people present on the street were protesters. Channel 5 on the other hand, gave absolutely no indication that there were only a few scattered supporters. You could have easily gotten the impression that the numbers were even, IMO. They also showed footage of Gov. Napolitano smiling and yucking it up with Bush - blech.
Welcome to DU, Bryan :hi:
