GEMDems Family Picnic and Food Drive on the 15th

I know many of you are planning to attend the DU Meetup on the 16th but if you'd like a "warmup" the day before, the Greater Eastern Maricopa Democrats are having an event at Pioneer Park in Mesa on Saturday from 2 to 6 pm. There will be live music, food, drinks, and fun stuff for the kids. The only thing you need to bring is a non-perishable food item for a local food bank. Also, local and national candidates will be attending. GEMDems is a grassroots organization formed to promote progressive candidates in the East Valley where, lets face it, the wingnuts have a stranglehold.
