Rental Car Prices in Tucson ????

anyone know what is going on with rental car prices in the Tucosn area? What used to go for $15/day is now going for $65/day. I have a feeling it's the Gem show but not sure.

you'd do better to come to Phoenix on a shuttle and drive it back LOL

An acquaintance tried to rent a mid-sized car when he flies in this week. Was told it would cost him approx. $700/week. So, my friend who is single and has 2 vehicles is loaning him one of his cars.

but I like to recommend a smaller compay called Adobe - they may not be quite so fancy the but the prices are better (something happened a couple years ago and everybody jacked the prices up - not because of gem show) and they will let you take their vehicles to Mexico.
