"Voluntarily" conflicted--HELP! |
|
Where can my efforts be put to the best use?
I want to see Shadegg (my critter), Kyl, and Tom Horne all sent packing and I believe there is a very real possibility to do all three.
So I'm really quite torn at this point. Since it impacts me most directly, I'm leaning to volunteering for Slade Mead (Supt. of schools candidate; I have a 3rd grader and Mead wants to do away with AIMS as well as other good stuff), but damn, I REALLY want to see Kyl defeated in shame. I mean, REALLY want to send him packing. I can almost taste it!
My obligations and health severely limit the amount of time I can spare so I want to get the best bang for the buck. Can anyone suggest a way to help me dicide/tell me who needs me most/who will put me to the best use?
It's nice to be so motivated, but it's quite a quandary at the same time.
Thanks--if no sooner, I will see you at the VICTORY PARTY in November! :bounce:

2. He didn't support antiwar rally, so I don't know what his position is. |

3. I want Kyl out really badly. He has been |
|
moving into a position of power, right next to the Majority leader Frist.
Shadegg is only one of 435+ or so. He's mine too, so I'd like him to go down as well.
But Kyl is one of 100 Senators, and one who's been coming into a position to have way too much influence.
And I heard Horne say something dumb on NPR this morning. So I'd love to see him out as well.

5. Missed Horne this morning |
|
can you give me the jist of what he had to say? There are many issues facing educators these days.

9. I believe it was in regard to the attempts by the GOP state legislators |
|
to redirect the funds/fines that were imposed on the state for not having an ELL program in place.
Napolitano asked that the money be appropriated for the ELL program.

You seem to be really admiring of him and you have a more personal stake in that race. I just think you should go where your heart is. If you go with something you feel lukewarm about it will show in your efforts.

And I am impatiently waiting for Pederson to get some press.
It is already the end of March! Pederson - hello????
I'm like you - most of my time is spoken for. I may have to stick to the phones, but hope to do more.
We have to figure out a way to get the dems in this state to get out and vote. That might be the best way for us to spend our time. I really believe that AZ is blue - a purplish blue, but that's a good start. Now just to motivate the voters.
