104.7 FM took on a decidedly Republican tone this morning

I flip stations in the morning, catching bits and pieces of different shows. Sometimes I listen to the Johnjay and Rich show in the morning on 104.7 FM as they often have interesting guests.

This morning's guest was Elizabeth Hasselback from The View and she was discussing the addition of Rosie O'Donnell to the show. When the topic of politics came up, it became apparent that Hasselback is a Republican and she started getting angry about President Clinton's reaction during the Fox News interview over the weekend. OK, well, that's what she's paid to do.

However, either Johnjay or Rich (I don't listen often enough to always know which is which) chimed in with her, slamming both President Clinton and Richard Clarke, calling them both liars, and generally spewing GOP talking points (otherwise known as lies). I'm livid!

I've written to them, as well as others at the station (see e-mail list below) to let them know that I WILL continue listening - so that I can contact their advertisers to tell them what I think of them for paying to be associated with this drivel. I encourage my fellow Phoenicians to do the same! I realize it's a Clear Channel station (well, I just realized that this morning) and that I can't expect much from them - but I don't expect this kind of obvious slant even from them.

1. What? I hate that station anyway.

Another one that gets me is KMLE country - Dave Pratt.
I have already sent him a nasty email telling him to leave politics out of his show AFTER he interviewed Kyl - saying things to Kyl like "You don;t need to worry about Pederson, do you? You're going to win this easily". I refuse to listen to him. He also had Gonzo on his show regularly, now I know why.

I will email 104.7.

on edit - why aren't you listening to AAR in the morning instead??
