he might retire. each midterm he usually comes out heavy for a bunch of candidates, this time around all he did was pro-204 stuff.

He's inexplicably enormously popular here.
The local media generally fawns over him but we have two outlets that kick him at every opportunity--The New Times and Jana Bommersbach (a wonderful journalist, our own Molly Ivins) in Phoenix Magazine.
