On Monday our campaign announced the results of another tremendous fundraising quarter. We exceeded our goal for the second straight quarter by raising over $121,000, putting our total for the first six months of 2007 at over a quarter of a million dollars!

We surpassed our goal because of strong grassroots and bipartisan support. In the second quarter, nearly three-quarters of our contributions were $300 or less, and over half of the contributions came from Republicans and Independents. Tellingly, more than half of the money John Shadegg raised in the second quarter came from the special interest community, donations to our campaign came from Arizonans, like you, who are ready for change.

Our campaign could not have achieved this incredible success without your generous support. Everyday I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from my family, friends, and the people of Arizona’s Third Congressional District. It is truly indicative of the strong desire for change that we all feel.

However, our fight is far from over. We still need your help! Let’s start the second half of the year off with a bang! We have another big goal to meet this quarter and every contribution helps. Together we can send to Washington a Congressman who serves the people of our district and not special interests.

1. I appreciate that most of the money raised came from Dems but

why did over 1/2 com from Repugs and/or Indies? Were more Indies or were they Repugs?

Why are Repugs supporting him? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm not in his district but every Democratic candidate we can get in our corner is good for all of us.
