For the first time in 13 years, John Shadegg has been put on the list of vulnerable Republican incumbents by Congressional Quarterly!

Our hard work and shared commitment to this opportunity is paying off even earlier than anticipated. Thanks to you we have the chance to send one of the most reactionary conservatives in Congress home.

Recently, Congressman Shadegg voted to slash SCHIP healthcare for 64,000 of Arizona’s poorest children. He even went so far as to call the program a “fraud.” John Shadegg continues to deny the existence of global warming. In fact, to support his science denying rhetoric he often quotes a right wing zealot who has also denied the existence of Gulf War Syndrome, heterosexual aids, and the dangers of secondhand smoke. That is our current representation – our voice – in Congress.

John Shadegg has hundreds of thousands of dollars from Washington special interests for his reelection. What I have is you.

Now – when national attention is turning to this campaign – is when we need to redouble our efforts and show what we can deliver.
