“Rays of Hope: the Turning Wheel of American History”
Mark is a Tucson celebrity-author, known for his wit and humor as well as his sharp political analysis of the roots of power and where it has brought us. He has written books on Richard Nixon, the CIA, Corporate Welfare and U.S. Interventions in the Middle East and others. Hear Mark’s comments on the opportunities for change that we face. He will bring a few of his books that you can buy at our Mini-Bazaar.
He will be introduced by ''Tex Shelters'' (aka Joe Callahan) of Tucson's Billionaires for Bush, and author of the very funny new satirical look at who runs things and how, A Patriot's Guide to Right-Wing Thinking.
Come early to get first choice of a Mini-Bazaar and Grannie Bake Sale. Our Book Table will include several local authors: A novel by Will Brenner: CONCERNED about Iraq - Abortion - Religion and Man's Inhumanity to Man ---- A Love Story. (A reader's comment: Besides being a beautiful love story CONCERNED is so thought provoking, everyone should read it.) (Available on line at Amazon and Barnes and Noble); Tex Shelters' satire A Patriot's Guide to Right-Wing Thinking; this book mocks the right by using their logical fallacies against them...the answer to all right-wing books condemning liberals. (available at Antigone's); Powder: Writing by Women in the Ranks, from Vietnam to Iraq edited by Shannon Cain (available at Antigone's); The Cost of Freedom (photo-essay-poetry of peace activism, local & national, which includes the Tucson Raging Grannies!!!); AND a few copies of Mark Zepezauer's books.
Bring a can or box of non-perishable food for the Community Food Bank.
And look forward to an uplifting afternoon among friends and activists.

Brought to you by the Tucson Branch of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom
