2. Good question. Stay in a reasonable hotel maybe with a view. A day trip. Just see some local sites

in town or walk around town.

5. Anywhere But Maricopa County

Tucson is a good place to start - In the middle of the Sonora Desert. An hour away from the Mexican border. Must sees - The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Mount Lemmon, Sabino Canyon. Avoid the months of May-September, unless you enjoy 100+ temperatures.
Also, the towns of Bisbee, Prescott, Flagstaff.

Avoid Phoenix, and it's hard to go wrong.....

I suggest the Forest Houses only because of road construction near El Portal which can be frustrating for tourists.

14. I'm coming to Sedona

In 11 days (not counting or anything :evilgrin: ) from Alaska. This picture is making me count hours. It's so beautiful.. I sincerely hope that my severely limited photography skills can capture this.

Have breakfast on the patio of the English Kitchen if it has not closed already. Another great idea would be the Petrified Forest(see the petroglyphs at Puerco Pueblo), stay at the Wig Wam Motel in Holbrook(Be sure to make reservations well in advance). Drive route 66 through Kingman with a convertible. Visit the Grand Canyon. Go to the Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson. Visit Tombstone(note that the courthouse will be closed due to lack of State Park funding), while in Tombstone in spring don't miss the worlds largest Rose Tree. Marvel at the original London Bridge at Lake Havasu.

I'm an AZ native and I have three complaints you may or may not want to be weary of
-the driver's (people drive how they think down here; slow and oblivious)
-Angry Fox/Hate Radio-informed Conservaties (VERY Red State)
-It's hot... seriously... it's hot. I've lived here my entire life and am still not use to the summers.
