Curious: how many Tucson DUers do you suppose there are? |
|
A handful? Maybe more? Tucson DUers, check in here, if you like. :hi:

I wonder whether there are enough of us in Tucson (or even southern Arizona) to consider a get-together, sometime.

6. That's a good question. |
|
Don't you think it depends on the kind of get-together? Just meeting at a restaurant for coffee, for example, I imagine that two would constitute enough. But I guess I had in mind something like a potluck or a picnic. So, maybe a minimum of ten or fifteen? I dunno. I suffer from an appalling lack of experience when it comes to planning social events.

7. Let's Ask The Teabaggers For Some Pointers! |
|
Couple of questions:
Should we make it "clothing optional"?
Are denizens of Maricopa permitted to attend? And if so, how much should we charge them for tickets?
Just kidding. Their ability to avoid recognition and evade capture by Arpaio's Posse should be rewarded.... :pals:
One final thought: Two is too few. Two is a date, not a get-together.

I've been wondering which of my fellow Tucsonans posted here. How about a BBQ at Fort Lowell? Come see me in "Art" at the Arid Rose theater starting Thursday. There's only three characters...see if you can guess which one is me!

Arid Rose is at 1859 W. Grant, Suite 100. Check the Tucson Weekly for times.

10. Not Tucson but still Pima County |
|
Does that count?
I'm south of Tucson in the midst of red country: retirementville. Right now, teabaggers galore. Blaming Obama for anything and everything they can think of. A couple of days ago, I even saw an over-sized bumper sticker that read 'Where's the Birth Certificate?' Not many stickers down here as most just vote and agree with the Pug party line.

Northwest Tucson/OroValley/Marana is also pretty red, and Gabby Gifford plays to her base up here. She's not quite as bad as Mary Landrieu in Louisiana but still...
Yesterday, on River Road, I passed a car with three really offensive anti-Obama stickers. Unfortunately for the driver, he got stuck behind me and another pro-Obama stickered car from Oracle Road all the way to Thornydale.

and we talked about doing something a while back I go to Tucson at least once a month, don't know about the others we might try a half way point (is that the Triple T truck stop? ha!) or a road trip to Benson? The world famous Horseshoe Cafe is open again (not sure how the food is, though) and recently a small brewery opened at the "Country Club". Is there anything decent in Vail?

I, for one, would love an excuse to take a day trip to Bisbee! Margaritas at the Copper Queen, anyone? Perhaps we could carpool. This Sunday or next?
