yet somehow TARP, big spending, and everything else morphed into "Obama's fault". I know I got really tired of hearing media play up one GOP plan against another GOP plan as if there was anything different between them and no other party existed.

Someday liberals are going to have to invest and develop their own media.

they fit with what I see in the state. The only result that really surprises me is the failure of 109 to pass, although it makes more sense if people saw it as a power grab.

8. 21 years ago today, we moved to phoenix.

it was one of the happiest days of my life. we love it here. it's beautiful, it's clean, but the politicians. oy vey.

9. We moved here in '72. I was just a teenager at the time but my dad immediately became a political

activist - he was always going head to head with leaders in this state. He couldn't get over what a backwards state Az was - we moved from Chicago. It caused him to form a non-profit organization for Renter's Rights. He had all the legal forms in a booklet that renters could use against their landlords. I wish he was alive so I could ask him what that was all about. I was more interested in partying and guys then, didn't really pay much attention. Now I'm sorry.

Anyway - the reason I'm bringing this up is because what a shame it is that Arizona is still a backwards state after all these years. And on Tuesday, I fear we just took another step backwards.

It's so hard. I've been here for so long that Arizona has become my home. Arizona is a beautiful state but I am sure getting fed up with its politics.
