St. Joseph Hospital is no longer a catholic hospital because of the abortion that was performed |
|
It didn't matter that baby was going to die no matter what - but they irony of all this there would be two lives taken. I don't get it and I am catholic and an ex-nun. http://www.azcentral.com/community/phoenix/articles/2010/12/21/20101221phoenix-diocese-strips-st-josephs-hospital-catholic-status.html

1. Interesting on all counts |

Your personal history, as well as the story on the hospital. I liked the comments on the story about how out of touch the church has become (or has always been).
I'm not a big fan of organized religions, and don't feel they have any place in public policy making.

2. The Bishop is a reflection of Az's policies |

Those in the capitol right now would like to put an end to abortion even when it risks the life of the mother, reguardless of whether the child could be saved or not. I think the story is bigger than just about Catholics (who really can't talk about morality anymore after generations of child molestations). Instead of the church for a safe haven, they've gone into politics.

What a mass of crap.
I wonder how many kids ultimately killed themselves because of being raped and molested?
I don't see this bishop moving to strip those churches of their catholic status.
