I love DU meetups. Starkraven and myself recently relocated from Minnesota (Minneapolis/St.Paul)
Minnesota has a very active DU Group. We had meetups every month.

I can get pretty depressing just typing away in the dark at the outrages of the Republican (Corporate) administration. Meeting the people behind the keyboards is healthy & healing. It feeds the soul to be able to see, hear, and touch REAL human beings who have a common goal.

We live in the Mena area, and would prefer Ft Smith, but will make the drive to where ever.

Succinctly, I live in Fort Smith and will gladly attend a DU-ish gathering if one is held with 100 miles here. (And can provide a ride to anyone from here who needs one.)

As I suggested in that other reply, though, I think that if there are enough of us, we might try to find some way to keep in touch from that first meeting on, so as to strengthen our local influence, which, being Democrats, ain't real robust around here.
