Wesley Clark for Governor?

I know that Arkansas will have the chnace to elect a new Governor in 2006 and was wondering what you guys would think of Wesley Clark running for Governor.

1. Sounds fantastic!

He didn't get that highly impressive resume by osmosis -- he had to work hard to earn it. It speaks volumes about his character. He'd get my vote if I were an Arkansan. :)

2. WOW!! Arkansas would be sooooo lucky

Truly unbelievable that a state I once lived in, that is so incredibly beautiful, could have two governors like William Jefferson Clinton and Wesley Kanne Clark. (I think that's the way to spell Kanne?) Lucky, lucky Arkansas.

3. Not to diminish the govenor's chair in Arkansas.

I think Wes could best serve the country in some kind of national role.

Fellow Arkansas DU-er here from the southwest area of the state ... good ol' Texakana!

I'd love Clark as governor ... someone smart to remedy the ills of Huckster. But I agree he may stay on the national stage.

There's some talk that Mike Ross could go for it ... though he's a little too Blue Dog Dem for me, he'd be just fine and capable for the job.

5. Another possibility is Attorney General Mike Beebe.

I have mixed feelings about that. He is from Searcy (about 10 miles from me). I don't know a whole lot about him, but his wife comes to our Democrat Club meetings. I would prefer Clark but, like many others, think he would rather stay on the national level.
