NW Arkansas DUers...everyone OK after the storm on 3/12? |
|
We seemed quite lucky to barely dodge the tornadoes (we live off Hwy 12); there's some damage about a mile from our house.
A portion of my brother's roof was taken off (he lives in the Pleasant Heights subdivision, NE Bentonville). My parents' roof was also damaged and hail stones the size of tennis balls shattered their 3 skylights.
But thank god no one is hurt. I heard of a few injuries in the area and loads of "near misses".
Sending out love to all my fellow area DU'ers and those still in the path of the storm out east...

I'm in McDonald Co, and my wifey works for WM in Bentonville...from what she told me, Centerton got hit pretty hard, and so did Bentonville. One of the new stadiums, and or buildings for Bentonville's high school got messed pretty good as well...Missouri got a fair share of grief last night too...btw, McDonald County is the county North of Benton County, if you didn't know...:)

2. I'm in the historic district in Fayetteville, and I lost an attic window |
|
which allowed the rain to come down the walls and through the heating vents into my upstairs hallway. Stayed home yesterday to make repairs. Seems like those nasty things go around Fayetteville.
