Latest polls show Democrats leading Repubs in all contests, except |

New polls of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General’s races conducted for Stephens Media by Opinion Research of Little Rock all show the Democratic nominees to have commanding leads over their Republican rivals. The Governor’s poll shows Mike Beebe with a 21-point lead over Asa Hutchinson – 52%-31%.
The poll also found that Beebe had a higher favorability rating, 61 percent to 44 percent for Hutchinson. The Republican had a much higher unfavorable rating, 33 percent, to 14 percent for Beebe.
The poll also found that in the race for Lieutenant Governor, Bill Halter leads Jim Holt 52 percent to 27 percent for Holt, with 21 percent undecided.
Dustin McDaniel has a 33-point advantage over Republican opponent Gunner Delay in the race for Attorney General. McDaniel leads DeLay 55%-22%.
Opinion Research interviewed 500 registered voters - 125 in each of the state's four congressional districts - by telephone from Aug. 15-19, and the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
