California mom tells cops she had sex with boys to keep them away from her daughter

A 30-year-old Northern California woman has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had sex with three teenage boys.

Deborah Towe faces 11 felony counts, including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation of a person under the age of 16, committing lewd acts upon a child and arranging a meeting with a minor for a lewd purpose.

The boys were 15 and 16 years old.

Police in Anderson, about 150 miles north of Sacramento, began investigating in April after two girls from a local middle school reported that a friend's mother was having sex with boys.

In a 48-page report released this week, Towe told police she was protecting her daughter by diverting the boys' attention to herself.

She denied the charges during an appearance Wednesday in Shasta County Superior Court. Towe remains jailed, with her bond set at $250,000.

Seduction of a young person is wrong,

but not anywhere near the same thing as RAPE - where someone forces their body on another one.

RAPE to me involves violence

It's not an new tactic to target someone with impaired judgement for sex, but should be considered rape. There needs to be a clear line - however arbitrary it may seem on its surface.

Then it seems like you are making choice, but you are not.
They have you under some kind of spell.
I don't know how they do it.
I resisted his advances at first, but he knew just what to say.
My family was alarmingly absent, and he knew that and took advantage.
I feel like my only part in it was that I was too trusting and believed in love, where as he was only interested in manipulating me.

I was 17. He was 30. It was legal, but he really ruined my life for many years after that.
Violence doesn't always come with the force of a hand or fist.

It took me 8 years to break away from him.
He quickly turned physically violent on me...but it is a violent act even if he hadn't hit me.

I was finally able to leave after 8 years, but I even felt guilty...when he was the one that had victimized me.
As soon as I was gone, he was now a man close to 40 and I found out he had a new girl friend. Age? A very 12 year old looking 18 year old.
The man has his issues, and I'm sure he did to her what he did to me.

That was my experience.

"The Graduate" comes to mind. My ex, though he was over 18, was with an older woman. Said it made him good in bed because she knew what and how she wanted things and wasn't affraid of asking. Maybe that's the thrill for some of these women.. but what middle school students are 16 yrs old.. back in my day that was car and junior year age... At 17 I dated a 23 yr old. However, the woman should have checked i.d.'s and stuck with someone 2-3 yrs older.. then no one would care.
